Direct flights between Kutaisi and Venice have launched

As of December 2, Kutaisi International Airport has added a new destination - Venice. Wizz Air now operates flights on the Venice–Kutaisi–Venice route twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A321neo aircraft. The inaugural round-trip flight carried 340 passengers. With this addition, Venice becomes the third Italian city after Rome and Milan that travelers can now reach directly from Kutaisi.

Passengers arriving on the first flight from Venice received a special welcome at Kutaisi International Airport, organized by the United Airports of Georgia. Guests were greeted by the companies General Director, Levan Moseshvili, along with Mari Devidze, head of the Imereti Destination Management Organization. Travelers on the inaugural flight were also presented with symbolic gifts.

According to the United Airports of Georgia, the launch of this new route further enhances the accessibility of Kutaisi International Airport and strengthens Georgia’s air connectivity with Europe.
