United Airports of Georgia continues to introduce high-tech, modern services at Kutaisi International Airport to enhance passenger and aircraft handling. The airport has been fully equipped with the specialized machinery required for its operations.
In the terminal’s departures area, passenger screening metal detectors have been replaced with modern body scanners. Alongside Kutaisi, United Airports of Georgia has also installed new security scanners at Tbilisi International Airport.
Airfield ground support equipment at Kutaisi David the Builder International Airport has been fully renewed. For Kutaisi International Airport, United Airports of Georgia purchased: • 1 new ambulift
• 4 passenger stairs
• 4 baggage belt conveyors
• 1 aircraft tug • 2 ground power units
• 3 baggage tractors •
1 lavatory service truck
• 1 air start unit
In total, United Airports of Georgia invested 3,162,392 GEL in renewing 17 units of ground support and service equipment for aircraft and airfield operations.
